Alex Lemon to read as part of the Mary E. Rolling Reading Series

Alex Lemon is the author of Happy: A Memoir (Scribner, 2009) and the poetry collections Mosquito (Tin House, 2006), Hallelujah Blackout (Milkweed, 2008), and Fancy Beasts (Milkweed, 2010). A book of essays and a new poetry collection are forthcoming from Milkweed Editions. His writing has appeared in Esquire, The Huffington Post, Best American Poetry 2008, Tin House, Kenyon Review, AGNI, and Southern Review, among other venues. Among his awards are a 2005 Literature Fellowship in Poetry from the National Endowment for the Arts and a 2006 Minnesota Arts Board Grant. He is a frequent book reviewer for the The Dallas Morning News. He lives in Fort Worth, Texas, and teaches at Texas Christian University.
