Mary E. Rolling Reading Series opens 2014 with William J. Cobb and Morris Collins

Morris Collins’s first novel, Horse Latitudes, was published in summer 2013. Other fiction and poetry has recently appeared in Pleiades, Gulf Coast, The Chatahoochee Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, and Nimrod among others.  He received his MFA in fiction from Penn State in 2008 and he lives and teaches in Boston.

William J. Cobb is a novelist, essayist, and short fiction writer whose work has been published in The New Yorker, The Mississippi Review, The Antioch Review, and many other journals. He’s the author of two books of stories—The White Tattoo and The Lousy Adult—and three novels—The Fire Eaters, Goodnight, Texas, and The Bird Saviors. He has won numerous awards, including a National Endowment for the Arts, and has reviewed books for the Dallas Morning News, the Houston Chronicle, and the New York Times. He lives in Pennsylvania and Colorado, and teaches fiction writing at Penn State.
