Professional Bio

Andrew Maust was raised in Honduras and Ecuador and grew up speaking both English and Spanish before he moved to the United States for his undergraduate degree in 2010. He holds a bachelor's in English and completed his MA in English at McNeese State University in the spring of 2016. Andrew Maust arrived at Penn State in the fall of 2017, and he has previously taught at McNeese State University and at SOWELA Technical Community College. At Penn State, he teaches English 15 and English 202D.

Andrew has presented papers at Sigma Tau Delta and SCMLA, and has had a paper accepted at NEMLA for Spring 2018. His research interests include digital rhetoric, pedagogy, comics and graphic novels, drama, Hispanic studies, and world literature.
