Professional Bio

Lauren Cenci is a first year M.A. student studying early modern literature. Her interests include the pastoral, the elegy, historical poetics, critical genre theory, prosody, the Bible as literature, Milton, Wordsworth, and Wallace Stevens.

Areas of Specialization

18th-century British Literature
with special interest in epitaphs and the elegy.
Renaissance Literature
with particular interest in historical poetics, the pastoral, Milton, and Spenser.
Visual Culture
with special interest in responses to/representations of the AIDS crisis; adaptation; burial and memorial practices; Stevens and surrealism/Dadaism.
