Professional Bio

Matthew Price specializes in 19th and 20th century British fiction, and his essays have appeared in ELN: English Language Notes and PMLA. His current book project, Spatial Narratology, analyzes the structural composition of settings in Victorian and modernist British literature. It shows how novels use a variety of spatial types and functions to inflect, refract, and otherwise comment upon the production of socio-historical space.
