Professional Bio

Megan’s research and teaching center on rhetoric and composition and technical writing, particularly focusing on the intersections among optical science, sensation, and theories of rhetoric. Her dissertation, “Technical Beauty: Rhetoric and the Aesthetics of Science,” is a study of aesthetics and feminist epistemologies that resist traditional reason-based approaches to scientific knowledge making. Her research is forthcoming in Western Journal of Communication and Quarterly Journal of Speech.
