Professional Bio

Megan specializes in rhetoric and composition, particularly focusing on the work of Kenneth Burke and the influence of science on modern rhetorical theory. After working for many years as an ophthalmic technician, Megan decided to merge her fascination with optics and her love for English studies. Her current research project lies at the intersection of aesthetics and the rhetoric of science, examining how science has historically turned to aesthetics (and aesthetics to science), and what remnants of aesthetics persist in present-day scientific practices of invention.
