Professional Bio

Megan specializes in rhetoric and composition, particularly focusing on the work of Kenneth Burke and the influence of science on modern rhetorical theory. After working for many years as an ophthalmic technician, Megan decided to merge her fascination with optics and her love for English studies. Her current research project lies at the intersection of Burke studies and optical science, examining whether an understanding of the biological function of the eye grants new insight to Burke’s rhetorical theories.
