Professional Bio

Randi Anderson has taught English as a Second Language at the university and in various situations abroad, most notably in a language school in Novosibirsk, Russia. She is now privileged to be teaching first-year writing at Penn State, her alma mater.

As a writer she specializes in genre fiction, poetry, and creative translation.

Her academic and research interests include translingual identity, multilingual writing, translation studies (particularly the translation of poetry), comparative literature, 19th century literature, folklore, and Slavic studies.
