Professional Bio
I am a first-year PhD student in the English department with interests in nineteenth century American literature, histories of science and medicine, and visual culture such as scientific illustration, medical imaging, and the history of photography. Decolonial methods and theories are most important to my work, as well as theories about archive, death, health, and the environment.
This is my third year of teaching in the department. Courses that I have taught include English 15: Rhetoric and Composition, English 202A: Writing in the Social Sciences, and Comparative Literature 12: Introduction to World Drama.
