Professional Bio

Sean's research is predominantly focused in literary modernism and 20th-century structures of community, but he also dabbles in the digital humanities. His dissertation project, “Modernist Hospitalities: Modern Culture and the Politics of Welcoming,” investigates several of the transnational locales, political theorizations, social structures, and transformative potentials of fin-de-siècle forms of hospitality. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in, among other venues, English Literary History, Journal of Modern Literature, and Digital Scholarship in the Humanities.
