Professional Bio
Brett Seekford is a Lecturer of English who studies the role that identity, performance, and race play in shaping and transforming language and the realities that it reflects. He is also invested in questions around critical pedagogy, with a particular commitment to culturally-responsive and inclusive teaching methods. At Penn State, he teaches a variety of classes centered around rhetoric, including courses in technical writing that seek to conceptualize and harness the effect of student identity in the pursuit of knowledge formation.
