Genevieve Gordon received this year’s Kenneth Burke Prize in Rhetoric, awarded by the Center for Democratic Deliberation.

The essay that won the prize is adapted from her dissertation and is titled “The Polio Poster Child: Vulnerable Figuration and Historical Vaccine Rhetorics.”
