Professional Bio
Dr. Jennifer Singletary teaches in the Program in Writing and Rhetoric at the Pennsylvania State University. Her research focuses on the religions, literature, and languages of the ancient Near East, including the Hebrew Bible. Her first book (Brill, 2025), Objects, Qualities, and Attributes as Deities in the Ancient Near East, analyzes the treatment of objects, qualities, and attributes in as deities in Mesopotamia, the Levant, and Elephantine in Egypt.
