Professional Bio
Kesla Elmore is a dual-title PhD student in English and African American and Diaspora Studies. She is a #DigBlk scholar in the Center for Black Digital Research working with the Black Women's Organizing Archive, the 2022 recipient of the Milton B. Dolinger Graduate Fellowship in Writing, and a 2020 Cooper DuBois Mentoring program fellow. Elmore's research interests include Black girlhood, 20th and 21st century African American literature, the great migration, media, digital humanities, and popular culture studies.
