Professional Bio

Audrey Saxton is a PhD candidate in English at Penn State University where she teaches courses in writing and composition, world literature, and early periods literature. As a researcher, Audrey studies late medieval English poetry and is interested in questions of reception, translation, and intellectual histories. Her dissertation investigates 15-century poetic translations and adaptations of the pseudo-Aristotelian text Secretum Secretorum in the works of Gower, Lydgate, Hoccleve, Ashby, and others.
