Professional Bio
Blaire Krakowitz is a Ph.D. candidate specializing in early modern drama & Shakespeare studies. Her research emphasizes the importance of performance in dramatic criticism, performance-as-criticism, and Shakespearean adaptation & appropriation. Currently, she is focusing on the comedic portrayal of villains in early modern plays and their adaptations. Other scholarly interests include the Gothic, absurdist literature, and theory of the uncanny & grotesque.
Blaire is a leading officer for the Early Periods Study Group (EPSG), specializing in event planning.
