B.A. in English and Sociology, University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (Chickasha, OK)

Professional Bio

Research interests: Rhetoric and composition, rhetorical theory, rhetoric of science, science and health communication, visual rhetoric, ideology, genre.

I am a second-year Master's student writing about primarily rhetoric of science issues (including scientific and public health controversies, genres in scientific writing, and science translation), as well as rhetoric and composition theory and practice writ large. Currently, I am especially interested in the way scientists articulate their research experiences in extra-institutional contexts to reshape cultural understandings of scientific pursuits and their relationships to policy and action.

I am also serving as a Coordinator at the Graduate Writing Center for the 2022-2023 academic year.
