Professional Bio
Jingyi Lyu is a graduate student in the Department of English at Pennsylvania State University. Her research focuses on Asian diasporic and Asian American literatures, with particular interests in late twentieth- and twenty-first-century Chinese American fiction, literary geography, and narrative form. Her work is increasingly shaped by Global Asias as a framework for thinking across national and regional boundaries, especially in relation to diaspora, racialization, and subjectivity. Her current project reads Ruth Ozeki’s A Tale for the Time Being (2013) as a study of diasporic dislocation in postnational space.
