Miriam Gonzales

Professional Bio

Miriam is a Ph.D. candidate in the English department whose research draws on scholarship in environmental humanities, decolonial feminisms, and critical university studies to rethink the development of the cultural, material, and intellectual sites in which educational communities emerge. She is particularly interested in possibilities for creating academic spaces centered on equity and environmental justice.

She is the graduate assistant for the new English Grad Futures Initiative, which is dedicated to developing training at all levels of graduate education in order to prepare emerging researchers for a variety of academic and non-academic careers.
