Professional Bio

Megan Reilley teaches writing in the Program in Writing and Rhetoric. Previously, she taught writing for Goucher College’s Center for Professional and Creative Writing, the Goucher Prison Education Partnership program, and McDaniel College’s Department of English. She is a managing editor of true, a weekly creative nonfiction magazine focused on the craft of telling true stories. Megan was an editorial professional for more than 20 years, applying her skills in substantive editing, copyediting, proofreading, project management, and publication production to interesting projects in such areas as maternal and child health, biomedical science, international education, and lactation.

Megan’s nonfiction writing has appeared in Rappahannock Review, Five Minute Lit, Proximity/true, and 3Cents. Her memoir examining societal and personal expectations of female identity, mothering, female bodies, and the bodies of our children, is in progress.
