Professional Bio

I write about sex work from a critical theory standpoint. My current work problematizes consent and trauma, suggesting that the dysfunctional model of bodily agency characteristic of neoliberal capitalism, despite fetishizing these concepts on a superficial level, also renders them functionally redundant. That essay collection, The Incredible, Ineffable, Unrapeable Stripper, is under contract at PM Press and on track to be published in spring 2026!

In addition to sex work, I am interested in temporality and hyperreality, metal music and its attendant subcultures, abjection, and masculinity. In addition to feminist, queer, and critical theory, I have methodological background in musicology.
