Professional Bio

With more than one decade’s teaching experience at Tribhuvan University, Nepal, I received a PhD in Rhetoric and Composition from the University of Texas at El Paso, USA, in 2013, where I also volunteered as an international representative, translator and grant writer. I received my second PhD in Language and Literacies Education specializing in Second Language Writing from the University of Toronto in 2021. I have taught first year composition, writing, technical and professional writing at the University of Texas, Texas A & M University, and University of Houston. In Canada, I have taught at Centennial College, Durham College, Seneca College at Okanagan College. My research interest includes rhetoric and composition, L2 writing, contrastive rhetoric, multilingualism, multiculturalism, critical discourse analysis, ESL, and L2 academic writing. I've been taught advanced composition, business writing, multilingual writing, reading & writing at UC Davis from 2020 to 2024. I joined the Pennsylvania State University in the August of 2024, and I'm teaching ENGL 15: Rhetoric and Composition.
