Professional Bio
Ray Chong is a graduate student in the Penn State English Department. He is primarily interested in cultural and critical theory as it relates to globalization and its cultural effect on postcolonial and neocolonial societies. Consequently, he is interested in studies of Empire, racial capitalism, neoliberalism, and cultural materialism. Specifically, Ray hopes to examine Singaporean society and culture and its interrelations with transnational capitalism and corporate hegemony.
