Professional Bio
My specialty is speculative fiction, with an emphasis on fantasticism. I relish mythology, folklore, fairy tales, Gothic fiction, and magic realism. My current topics of interest include supernatural female figures, monstrosity, and the adaptation/evolution of lore, and my recent research has focused on the impact of proto-feminist French fairy tales on the English novel in the 18th century.
