Professional Bio
Sierra Parker is a dual-title Ph.D. student in English and Visual Studies at the Pennsylvania State University specializing in rhetoric and composition. She studies sensory rhetoric, focusing much of her research on the visual across various media and applications. Her study of visuality engages AI and digital culture, health campaigns and drug addiction, and archival practices.
Sierra received the Superior Teaching and Research (STAR) Award in the College of the Liberal Arts in 2023, and she was awarded the Masters of Arts Excellence in Teaching Award in 2022.
