Cary Holladay is the author of seven volumes of fiction, most recently Horse People: Stories (LSU 2013) and The Deer in the Mirror (Ohio State UP 2013). Her awards include an O. Henry Prize and fellowships from the Tennessee Arts Commission, the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Arts. A graduate of Penn State with an M.A. in creative writing, she teaches at the University of Memphis.
