Alex Sibo, Pennsylvania State University, Wins 2021 CCCC Disability in College Composition Travel Award
Champaign, IL – 2/4/2021 – Alex Sibo, Pennsylvania State University, State College, has won a 2021 CCCC Disability in College Composition Travel Award. The Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) is a constituent organization within the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). Sibo is one of three recipients of this award.
CCCC sponsors these awards designed to support scholarship dedicated to improving knowledge about the intersections of disability with composition and rhetoric, the value of disability as a source of diversity, inclusive practices and the promotion of access, and the value of disability as a critical lens. The purpose of the Award it to support winners to attend the CCCC Annual Convention and share their work. The awards will go to the eligible scholars whose convention program proposals are determined to have the greatest potential to further the goals laid out in the CCCC Policy on Disability.
Sibo will be announced as a recipient of the CCCC Disability in College Composition Travel Award during the 2021 CCCC Awards Presentation this Spring.
