Mary Sellers successfully defended her dissertation, “E.D.E.N. Southworth, Storyteller,” and received her Ph.D. in American Studies from Penn State in August.

Her paper “A Revolutionary Urban Legend: Charlotte Temple,” recipient of the Richard Reuss Prize for an Outstanding Student Paper in Folklore and History, was published this month in The Folklore Historian.
