NYPL Spotlight on Rich Doyle and Trey Conner

An interview with Rich Doyle and doctoral program alumnus Trey Conner (2006—now associate professor at the University of South Florida) was recently featured in a New York Public Library Research Spotlight on their work with a rarely seen more than 10 foot long scroll of Jack Kerouac’s “transliteration” of the Diamond Sutra, “The Diamond Vow of God’s Wisdom.”  Dating to November 1957, the scroll in the NYPL’s Jack Kerouac Papers is so fragile it is rarely ever unrolled and may not be again for decades to come.
