Philip Zapkin was awarded the Sydney Aboul-Hosn Award for 2025-26 from Penn State’s Comparative Literature Department.

The awards is for “encouraging students to pursue the study of literature” through the Literary London program and his informal mentoring of a comp lit/English double major: helping her attend conferences, apply for internships, and get accepted into the BA/MA program for fiction.
