The James “Jake” Cranage Award in Poetry is given annually by the College of the Liberal Arts.
This award is open to all full‐time Penn State undergraduates, regardless of curriculum or campus, who will be enrolled in the spring semester, 2021. The Cranage award requires students to have at least sophomore standing and to have taken or to be enrolled in beginning writing courses.
Note that your submission must have been written in ENGL 50 or ENGL 213 between spring 2020 and spring 2021 semesters.
Submissions are judged by a panel of writers. The judges reserve the right to make no awards in a given category. They also reserve the right to divide the prize money in whatever ways they deem appropriate to the number of quality submissions. All entries are judged anonymously.
